This PowerPoint focuses on bullying, in general, in schools. My partner and I did extensive research and found Cyber-bullying as an issue that many students face in today's society. We then found a multitude of examples of students who have had issues with cyber-bullying and incorporated them into the power point.

Journal 7: RSS and Readers- NETs-T V

RSS feeds are a way to subscribe to feeds that are constantly updated. It will send updates via email to the person who signed up. I have learned that RSS feeds are a time saver and they need more research to see how it will impact students. They can be done via Delicious, Stumbleupon or Google Alerts. Some issues people have are these tools are slow to update. There are various readers, such as blogline and feedeachother that will gather all the subscriptions into one page that can be used as a homepage. The issue with readers is that they are sometimes blocked on school servers. RSS feeds are helpful to students when the teacher links all their feeds on a class blog or website. Some teachers do believe that RSS feeds need to be utilized more by teachers rather than students because they believe it is ineffective for younger students to use. However, as a teacher, it is possible to create a blog and have the students subscribe to the feed to receive any updates regarding the class. Some also believe that it would be beneficial for the students to subscribe to news websites in order to help them understand what is going on in the world around them.
